Gong Xi Fa Cai!

A Happy Chinese New Year to everyone:)

Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed year ahead.

what's wrong with me???

I'm still recovering from shock.

I just found out that i was suppose to be balloting for my tutorial! And the balloting round is over:(

What is wrong with me???

p.s. quick update: there's another round of balloting tomorrow. Whew.

dead blog

I have been neglecting this blog too much.

The only excuse i can come up with is that i'm very busy with lots of planning. That's all i can say.

And also, i have just started jogging once a week to cultivate a healthier lifestyle (after endless grumblings from my health-conscious parents). So basically, my knees are creaking and i can hardly walk properly without looking like some old granny.

I'm not surprised people have stopped visiting this blog.

But to my faithful readers, i promise many more entries to come:)

flying colors

Yuki passed her GCE O-levels with flying colours today:)

The look of pride on my parents' faces were.. priceless.

I'm so proud of my baby sister.

~japan trip summer 2006~

This was taken at a local inn in this place near the sea called Nottou.

I love this photo because we just had a hearty meal and a nice relaxing soaking session in the hot water spring.

just for laughs

I have been following jimmy kimmel live episodes for quite sometime. And i absolutely love his guest shows. And and, i love his "sidekicks" especially guillermo rodriguez who is actually a real-life parking lot security guard for the show.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this really funny spoof clip of the recent movie that everyone is crazy over - Twilight. Oh, guillermo played the role of the sexy dark edward.

I am not a huge Twilight fan, and before watching this spoof clip, i never thought robert pattinson was that good-looking.

Enjoy the clip~

kopi-kosong

I was reading nicole's most recent entry on her favorite non-coffee beverage in Starbucks and i recalled this pretty funny incident during my trip to the Philippines.

When the waitress asked us for our order, one of my aunts who was craving for a black coffee forgot that she was holidaying in a foreign country, where singlish doesn't really get through to the people there.

In her exact words, she ordered for kopi-kosong, which is a local term we singaporeans affectionately use at the local coffee shops here. Kopi means coffee, and kosong is a malay word for empty. Which essentially means coffee with no milk/ sugar.

the start of cors bidding woes

I am stuck at bidding for cors now. In case if you're wondering what cors is about, it stands for the Centralised Online Registration System through which NUS students have to select the modules they wish to take in the upcoming semester. And we bid for these modules using points we accumulated along the semesters. Basically it's like how people bid during auctions.

Anyway, i'm torn between squeezing four classes in a day so that i can get a free day or space out my classes so that i can have a minimum of 2 hours' break in between minusing a free day.

How how how?

This is coming from someone who takes 20 minutes to decide what to eat.

☆新年あけましておめでとう☆

A belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!
