Today, my scheming sister asked my mom whether she could bring her guy friend along if she and i were to go out together next week. My mom agreed without any suspicion at all.
Knowing that i will feel left out with two 15 year old kids, i was 100% against the idea.
Yuki came up with another idea in less than 5 seconds. That girl is always full of ideas.
Yuki: Why not ask your friend to come along too?
Me: Like who?
Yuki: (ponders for a moment) How about tandoori chicken?
Tandoori chicken for your information, is not the usual dish that we always eat. It happens to be a nickname yuki gave to this guy friend i have been pretty close to recently.
In other words, she was hinting of arranging a double date. And my answer was..............................................................................................................................................................
..................... a NO of course.
Tandoori chicken is a good friend of mine. But i don't want to complicate things by giving him the wrong idea. You might call me a bit too sensitive here, but it's possible that he might misinterpret my invitation as something else.
Nowadays, the younger generation is becoming smarter (in a bad? sense), and is maturing at an alarming rate within a short period. Five years ago, I can recall myself as a geeky-looking (ok, maybe still geeky right now), brace-wearing plump fifteen year old. I never thought about cute skirts, makeup or boys when i was fifteen. My fifteen year old sister, on the other hand, is hmm... trying to get me into a double date. Scheming.. tsk tsk.
