ping.sg gathering 28.07.07 (snowbiscuits' version)

Today it was my first time meeting many fellow pingsters at miss clarity cafe today=) As you guys can see, i'm totally shy in person.. sorry.. if i didn't talk much, but i was really shy, not stuck-up (many pple associate my shyness with being stuck-up). But i have to admit, everyone was really really friendly. I'm so happy that i got to know so many people, even though i had trouble associating everyone with their nicknames=)

UFC: i thought you were sooooo cute. although you didn't talk much, i could see you were very caring esp when you waited for me when i was in the toilet, and refilled my cup. I was pretty taken aback when you were laughing till you cried? And lastly, we were the most quiet ones during the gathering. DK said we looked like sisters=P

Daphne: you were the first person from ping who left a comment on my blog, and the one who encouraged me to come for this gathering. So i'm very thankful for making me so welcomed in ping.sg. I think if it weren't for you, i wouldn't have actively participated in this community. Thanks so much!!!!

Adrian: thanks for the cookies that you started baking since 7 this morning... and you managed to make some great cookies even when your oven broke down. Next time, i shall let you try some of my japanese recipes=P

Surfslayer: I am VERY positive i've seen you somewhere before.. and it's not that concert.. i'm still trying to recall now. But i'm so glad we have a common interest, which is knowing the japanese language. Oh yeah, remember to add me online so that we can converse in japanese. Maybe you can teach me mandarin... i realised my mandarin has become rusty when i heard you guys speaking in mandarin.

Tstar: Sorry for mistaking you as nicole. That was so embarrassing. But i appreciated that you and surf tried to pull me out of my own shell and get me talking. Btw i liked your ping advert picture. It was.... interesting. haha.

Miccheng: You were really hilarious with your light talk, and i was actually surprised you came to our section and started talking to me and ufc. Can really see that you helped to lighten the mood in the cafe=)

DK: At first i felt a bit nervous talking to u, but later, i really warmed up to your funny talk with uzyn and adrian. Seriously, you guys make a good trio. I think you should have more pics taken with your head above the table.. u look better with your face up =P

Uzyn: When you first saw me, you just said hi and asked who i was. Haha. Never got to say thanks to you, coz if it wasn't for you, ping.sg wouldn't have been born. And i wouldn't have met you guys. So once and again, thank you.

Simply jean: Honestly at first, i thought you were as shy as me. But surprisingly, you hit off with so many others!! Haha, Well, if you have any qns related to the japanese language, i will be glad to help.

CC: ok, at first i didn't know you were cc then coz i thought you wouldn't come. I liked that minesweeper joke btw. Funny but really true. That's why i like reading your blog entries.

Ridz: i didn't get to talk to you at all until the time we were at starbucks. Thanks for reading my blog and i was really interested in asking you about the vodaphone word seen on ur wireless modem, but was just too shy to ask.

Ethan: i only got to say hi to you so i hope we can talk more on shoutbox? quite surprised you recognised me though.

To the rest who came for the gathering, i'm so sorry i didn't get to say hi or had any chitchat at all. The fact is, unlike my enthusiasm online, i'm pretty quiet and shy in person. I promise, i will try my very best to be more talkative the next time round. Right now, i'm trying to read this book on being more sociable and getting people to want to talk to you more. Hope this kind of self-help stuff works. Or else, i would need tstar to psycho me or something.
